HVAC button lights won't turn off
Installed a reman'd HVAC control unit. After not driving car for 3 days, battery was dead and would not take charge. Installed new battery and after 3 days it was drained but recovered on charger. That night, stepped into dark garage and noted all HVAC button lights were lit. Opened & closed driver's door - IP and radio lights went out after about 15 secs; interior lights went out after about 45 secs; door mounted window control panel lights went out after another 15 secs. It seems quite a coincidence that the HVAC light dimmer would fail as the new control was installed.
Has anyone seen this? if so, what was cause? Has anyone replaced the light relay (or whatever it is that causes lights to go out) in the BCM?
