dash lights begin flashing, turn signal indicators lightup, turn parking lights on, flashing stops but turn indicators stay lit. Turn signal fail to work correctly, radio shows err, remove key all stops. Try to lock doors with fob sets off alarm. For some unknown reasons while driving all goes back to normal.
1. What causes this.
2.what will correct this?
3.where is the best place to begin?
Thanks.
mine is doing the same thing atm...replaced the battery nuts and torque downed to correct setting and that fixed my flashing dash lights issue...tested my alt. and found out it was failing so it's getting replaced. still have the the solid right turn lamb and when locking doors with fob sets off the alarm...so curious to see what fix you come up with as well
Battery and battery connections including the one at the starter would be an excellent place to start.
100% SPOT ON RECOMMENDATION! You MUST have a battery in circuit to filter out any alternator ripple. Your charging circuit is suspect and it needs a good inspection and most likely connection cleaning/tightening.
Here is the schematic that you need to have a firm grip on how its all connected::
There is also a engine ground connection and chassis ground connection that you should examine G-104/108 Chassis ground on the frame inboard the of the battery. Just follow the smaller ground wire on the NEG battery cable to the frame.
G-106 is the engine ground terminal on the block above the starter.

cleaned grounds as shown, now have constant malfunction. Replaced hazard switch, no change. I noticed when parking lights are on FOB functions properly, no alarm. Parking lights off, lock doors with FOB sets off alarm.

Cleaned G102 and all is good. After 30 mile test drive , back to turn signal malfunction and flashing dash lights.
Where to next?
