seat belt issue

the driver's side seat belt retractor in my '03 coupe locked up this morn. do i need to replace the whole unit or is there a fix? thanks.

the lower retractor next to the seat is jammed and can't pull the seat belt from it. i have not taken anything apart yet. just wanted to have some insight before i get into it. thanks

There was a TSB on my car that fixes this some years ago. Belt would twist and lock up like you describe.

belt is not twisted. the retractor is very weak to pull back the belt. i rolled it back with my fingers and it unlocked it were i could pull it back out. i guess there is a spring in there that is broken or just wore out. guess i will look for some used ones on ebay. don't see any new anywhere as 8vette7 mentioned.
