Since I haven't kept up with corvette tech for a while, what is the benefit of the C6 parts in the C5? This is a serious question. Are the C6 parts better for some reason?

The main reasons would be the TR6060 trans itself and the diff has 2 side mounts vs the c5 single in the middle

my reason for doing this is because my 3:15 were whining and i got the entire rear suspension with 3.42 diff for 200.00.

the wheelbase is 1.2" longer for the c6. there is more suspension travel for better ride.

I wouldn't necessarily say there's more suspension travel, the shocks are even the same.

the wheels are only pushed back about 5/8, and for the record you can use the c5 spindles, upper control arms and shocks.

I wanted to use the entire suspension. Car has 130k. Upper ball joints were worn out. I get to use the 2012 z06 spring. I reused my bilsteins. The suspension travel I read about.
