Default Cut wires??

Any idea what these two wires once went to?

1998 manual...Had this car since 2000 - second owner, have no idea. It traces back to the other side in front of engine, then disappears into another harness then back towards the firewall.

I've noticed it before....long time ago, but never really thought to ask.

Only engine work its had is a water pump - under warranty (2000) and a new fuel injector (2000).

Are those wires secured to the top of the subframe as they cross over to the other side of the engine bay?

That looks to be the wheel speed sensor for the front right wheel by seeing the tan and dark green wires in your picture. Figured a code would be thrown if the car isn't detecting a wheel speed sensor though.

Additionally, a wheel speed sensor cannot be programmed out since it is a function of the EBCM. It should be throwing code C1232 or similar on the DIC.

I'd get the car in the air, remove the wheel, and see what's going on with the speed sensor harness.

Look at the right front sensor wiring colors and compare. Then see if they match the wires on your car. Its hard to tell exactly what colors are in that pic:

Thanks... very interesting. I have no codes at all. I will change the oil this spring and will pull the wheel. Very odd... Will also verify the colors.
