I like ATB differentials, I don't like that they operate as $2 open-diffs when you lift a wheel.
While searching out Qualfie diffs, I encountered this Wavetrac. After reading through how it works, it seems it should do just as advertised, at least it shouldn't do any worse than the Qualfie and it cost over $400 less. It also appears you get some added benefit of some locking decel action, bonus!
When I replaced my noisy final drive, I changed from 3.15 ratio to 3.73 and also had a Wavetrac installed. It seems fine so far but I have only had it on the track once since installation. My first impressions were that I could bring on power earlier out of a turn, but the old unit had broken Bellville springs so it would not be a good comparison.
RPM tells me they sell the Wavetrac's faster than Wavetrac can send them and says they are a good unit to run. So, I left a deposit... Now to find a tuner that will return my calls.
