Important HVAC question before replacing blend door actuators
Hello All,
I have a 1998 c5 with the dual climate control. I have had problems with getting heat on one side and cold air on the other, and blower does not respond when I raise the speed of the blower motor control. I tried the remove fuse 27 wait 60 sec and put back in then, things switch around blower works for a bit and air comes out properly, but then fails again. I pulled the codes from DIC and they have to do with the hvac system.
My important question is when I remove dash and put the new actuators in, should I reset the actuators by connecting the battery back in before attaching the actuators to the blend door shafts.......or it doesn't matter, they will recalibrate no matter what position the actuators and blend doors are in? Thanks for all your help
