Default ls7 air intake on c5?

Wondering if anyone has fitted a ls7 air intake on a c5?
curious because you would end up not using our airbridge and factory box, you would have to use the ls7 maf and re-pin and new connector.
the ls7 intake is much more flowing and you can modify the underside where the filter is to allow more air. You would also need a silicon reducer to step down to the smaller tb.
just curious if the price was right would it be worth it.
Thanks Jason

It doesn't answer your inquiry specifically but I know a guy running an OEM C6 ZR1 intake on his C5 with a Maggie. His logic in running it is if "a ZR1 can put down the power it does then it must flow ok on my sub-600 HP C5". I can understand that logic.

He runs a higher hood for the Maggie so there's no clearance issue. He also has a tune (not sure specifically what it entailed).

I don't think you'd have to necessarily re-pin. You could probably re-use the LS1/6 MAF, place it as close to the throttle body as possible, run a coupler on each side, and trim the C6 air intake assembly some with a fairly large coupler on the furthest point. Might have to look to big truck or turbo suppliers for a coupler that large though; thinking in the neighborhood of 4 1/2" with a reducer of some sort.

I don't actually know of anyone that has tried running a C6 air box setup as-is on a C5. Seems like there would be some clearance issues to the hood liner. You can get similar gains by simply hacking up the box you have now; opening the bottom side to air, cutting the box hat, etc.

That's awesome, I want to have the most flow to the 90mm tb on the car. And also wanted to run the ls7 msg. Just need to make sure my tuner can use it or will have to find another. Thanks
