If you have to ask, you should probably let the pros do it. It's a big job.
If it's from sitting you might want to try Mobil1 High mileage oil. It has seal conditioners that might do the trick.

The thing that makes this hard is removing the steering rack or lowering the motor out of the car. Both ways are a lot of work. You have to do this when you install a cam so if you ever wanted a new cam now's your time.
