Rapid blinker issue
My 2001 6 speed roadster with 82,000 miles has a rapid blinker issue.
It is only the left one, it seems to be about 3X as fast as normal.
The car has a history of electrical problems. Starters (3), steering column lock (multiple times), passenger door remote lock (3). I just replaced the hvac control unit less than 50 miles ago.
Is this a warning of bigger problems?
How do I correct it?

Rapid blinking is most often caused by the use of LED tail lights or front turn signals
LED lights use very low amounts of amperage---and the stock mechanical flashers cannot work with that low of an amp useage-----The FIX is to install a DIGITAL or ELECTRONIC flasher unit----These will work as stock but with very low amp usage You can find them on line or at most any speed shop
