Can a hypertech programmer be used for different years (97-02)?

for example if you used it for a 00 can you use it on a 97? :confused:

No! Each year has it own part number. See http://www.hypertech.com for more info

If you've already got the Hypertech then best of luck....but if you don't I would seriously consider the DiabloSport Predator instead. It has the same and more functions and it is an ODBII scanner also. The cost diff is minor during the prebuy going on right now $425 through forum member and vendor BfB. Search in this forum for a thread covering it in detail!

The Hypertech is a good tool. It does a lot of things well and is easy to use. Hypertech has models for the 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 Corvettes. They are year-specific and cannot be used on different year models. You should be able to pick one up for under $200 in the "parts for sale" section. Just make sure the last car it was used on was returned to stock before you buy it or it will not work on your car.
