98 corvette what heads stock?
I have a 98 corvette with the stock ls1. What heads are on this motor? 853? Also I plan on going with a blower in the future. So I wanted to do a cam now. I was going to go with a epp blower cam. Is it worth switching over to 243 heads? I'm looking for 600whp once I go supercharged. But will run the cam n/a with a tune for now.

Drifting
probably 241. equivalent to 853 i believe.
worth switching heads if you can.. other than forced induction they're the #1 way to add power. already going to have it all torn apart. i doubt it'd add more than an hour of real labor to swap them considering how far in you'll already be. and thats assuming the engine is already built for boost. if you're tearing it apart and rebuilding it, why wouldnt you spend an extra ~$400 for the 243s?

The LS1 was brand spanking new in 97-98. They came with the absolute WORST flowing heads with perimeter bolt valve covers (9-11 bolts if I remember). It's not to say these heads won't work for a forced induction set up though. I had a stock 98 LS in my Trans Am with cam and supporting mods that made 420rwhp but it was a freak. I would look into 243's or 799's since they are now abundant on the 5.3 truck engines. Those are the LS6 castings and the basis for places like PRC to make their 2.5 LS6 head packages.
