Anyone running 02 simms? Having problems with 02 sensors throwing codes
I keep getting the codes: P0140 & P0160(heated 02 sensor insuffient circuit activity-bank 1 sensor 2 and bank 2 sensor 2) I have put 2 sets of sensors in and keep getting these codes, when this happens the car runs like crap, wont idle, wants to die, and runs way rich puffing black smoke out the exhaust. Any idea why this is happening, and will 02 simms help? I have long tubes, and no cats. Thanks! :cheers:

I have a similar setup to yours, but I run the O2 sims. Occasionally I get a code, but there is no change in the way the car runs. If I clear the code the light stays off and normally won't come on for a couple of weeks.
My code typically is a "slow response" from the O2 sensor.

I put in another set today, and same f%*#ing thing! This is getting old, there has to be a cure for this! :mad I drive the car for about 20 miles with the new 02 sensors in,it runs fine, and then all over again same freakin codes!

You have no cats and are using the rear O2s? The rear O2s will throw codes without cats, they are there to make sure the cats are working. I may be misunderstanding your post but you say sensor 2, bank 1 and bank 2 sensor -2- is the rear. Get some O2 simms for the rear if you are running with no cats.
BTW, the car shouldnt run bad with no cats and the rear O2s in there, if you are killing the front O2s that quick there is something very wrong.
