Hi Rammer.. Yes it should be a wild ride when we can get this darn pulley problem sorted out. Talked to Bob today and the larger pulley should be in on Monday. Thanks to ATI they sent the same size twice delaying everything.

No she isnt a daily driver. My corvette or stang don't see much rain and never sees snow. Your ride sounds wild. I am trying to recall if I have seen you around or not I see you are from 626 as well.

Great numbers, and good to see you're gonna lower the boost to keep you happy and in business. Do you plan any 1/4 mile track times in the near future? :smash: :smash:

The boost is going to be reduced into the 7-8# range. Losing 20-30 RHP will be a good trade off for longevity.
Good idea!

SteveL2 thanks. Yes eventualy I will have to run it in the quarter. I have been following the thread in forced induction about this so I know why you asked :) . I will have to see how fast winter hits this area.

QuickSilver97: yes I know thanks. For the record the only reason we hit 10 #s of boost is because the pulley came with the D-1 Kit just so happens to produce that on my car. I don't want anyone to think I am trying to set up a "dyno queen" here. For some odd reason its pulling 10 pounds. If anyone knows why feel free to message me I started a thread in forced induction in regards to this.

Boost is very relative to compression. With the 64cc LS-6 heads you should be around 7 to 8 lbs of boost with a D-1 with the 5 inch pulley. Is that the one you got with the kit ?

Yes that was our thoughts as well 7-8#s but it didn't work out that way. My tuner says the pulley is a 5 1/2" ATI is going to send a 5 3/4". I am hoping that and some re-tuning gets us to safer levels.

Hi.. Not sure about the timing. It was still being fine tuned using the LS1edit.

ForR sure the 7/8 lb's of boost is a good move but you still might want to consider getting the bottom end kit from Katech to keep it all together over the long haul. 550 h.p. seems resonable and you may actually be able to get some of that power to the ground. :chevy
