Default How's 680 hp sound ?

Thats right 579 rwhp or 680 hp at 15% on a stock '01 Z06 with SLP headers and the Pro Charger kit at 10 # boost. This is all happening at Kennedy's Dyno tune in upstate NY.

Ten pounds of boost on an engine with stock compression and stock pistons engine sounds like a rebuild on the way.

Congrats on making some big power. Do you forsee any reliability issues?

Cool!! That's where I got my Mustang Dynoed. Bob's been very good to work with. That's where I hope to take my future Vette! ;)

Still waiting on the custom pistons (3 weeks & counting...) :( Hopefully they'll be here in another week or two. After that, it probably takes MTI another 2 weeks to all the pieces together.

I'll be out of the country for vacation from 10/12 to 10/25. If everything goes as plan, the motor should be finished by the time I get back.

CONGRATS.......big numbers.....now could you find an '01 ZO6 w/headers and a Magnuson and prove once and for all the power advantage of the ATI over the Magnuson. 10 lbs boost with the high CR of the ZO6 will need forged rods and pistons and the strongest studs money can buy. Other than that....have FUN Let us know when you get some time slips. :

Get a Haltech or TEC-II... You could make more HP even with lower and safer boost (like 8psi).

Congrats on those numbers but the bottom end will not be happy for too long. Thats way too much cylinder pressure for a stock engine.. Enjoy it while it lasts

Actually thats my car he is refering to. I like the power but Bob Kennedy is a great tuner and we are both aware that the CR and that Boost are not a good mix. Nice dyno numbers but a larger pulley has been ordered and should be at his shop now. The boost is going to be reduced into the 7-8# range. Losing 20-30 RHP will be a good trade off for longevity.
