Removed and replaced shocks without disassembling front or rear suspension. Replaced brake pads ceramic without disconnecting any lines. I took out for a test drive I hear the rotor sound like brake pads are rubbing and no I did not resurface rotors they are slotted drill rotors. So I thought that was normal changed pads it will wear down after a couple of miles. Went to work today and my steering wheel shakes something awful. I installed Blistien shocks I notice this just the front end. Any ideas would be helpful.
Did you push pistons back into calipers correctly?
Did you take out some brake fluid first? then top off with new.
Did you remove the caliper slide pins and clean and lubricate???
Did everything go back together without Forcing Components ???
Not assuming you don't know how to do it right.. Just trying to get more info to help you
No I did a knucklehead mistake. I tightened the wheels German torque goodin tight. On my way to work was awful. I have access to torque wrench so I torque them to specs. 100 ft/ lbs. ops check good. I know better I should of trusted my gut and went to discount tires for them to torque.
Yeah, the shop manual recommends (IIRC) 135 lb-ft + red loctite; I think most people here recommend to forego the loctite. 100 lb-ft should be fine, but I'd stick with the factory recommendation personally.
