I searched around but couldn't find the answer I was looking for...I will post the issue here.
When I start my 97 up the day time running lights work as usual. Issue is when I want to turn right, the only signal lights that work are the rears...the passenger front bulb doesn't blink. I have changed the socket because it looked damaged, I checked the ground and that is fine...replaced the bulb.
On a side note, when I hit the hazard switch all the signal bulbs flash but the passenger front...they blink at a normal speed not like when a bulb is blown and they flash really fast. I also followed the harness up to the plug and checked for any corrosion in there, I cleaned the needles inside the plug just to be sure.
I am hoping that someone can help me before I drive my wife crazy and also start to tear my hair out...
I see you said you checked the ground. What about voltage?
After checking the voltage on the turn signal wire that leads into the socket...there is no power going into that wire when I try and activate the turn signal.
I fixed the issue, after following the wiring diagram from the passenger socket back to the fuse box. I had no idea the turn signals went through the drl relays. I took them out and cleaned the contacts and put them back into the fuse panel and bam...started working once again.
Having a wiring diagram with you makes life so much easier when finding an issue like that.
