As stated in the title, the other day the low beam headlights stopped turning on. The headlight motors, high beams, fog lights, and turn signals still work as designed. Some water recently leaked onto the passenger side floorboard so I opened up the BCM to check for any corrosion or anything obvious, but didn't see anything. I know the stalk can cause various headlight issues, but hopefully someone can chime in to point me in the right direction?
Could it be a coincidence that both low beam bulbs burnt out? Have you checked the bulbs to see if they are still good?
Seems like quite a coincidence, but I'll give it a check. The previous owner had HIDs installed so that could be part of the issue. Just having a hard time narrowing down what all is common to both headlights.
So you currently have HID's as your low beam? If that is the case then check the wiring and fuses. You'll have two ballasts that power the low beams. If both went out at the same time then wiring/fuses is where I'd start.
I was able to trace down the HID wiring today and found that the problem was just an inline fuse connection that was loose. Thanks everyone for the tips!
