Ok my first foray into putting new wheels on my corvette so check my math on this...
New fronts will be 18 x 8.5 with 56mm offset
Rears will be 19 x 10 with 56mm offset
The fronts are pretty much a non issue and if I've checked correctly the rears are probably as well. The rears will stick out about a a little over a half inch more.
Now tires sizes I was thinking of this
245/40/18
295/35/19
This gives me approximately a 25.7 wheel height in front and 27.1 in rear for 1.4 inch different which I think is a bit out of spec for the active handling system. Suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.
Active Handling does not care about tire stagger. Traction control does. 1.4" stagger should work OK for TC. Rule of thumb is the rear tires need to be between 1/2" and 1 1/2" larger in overall diameter than the front tires to avoid issues with TC. Factory stagger was at 1".
Thanks for the reply. I knew I had read that one of the systems cared about the stagger. I just guessed the wrong one.
