If I am in the wrong section feel free to let me know and I will post in the correct one.
I put my rear welds on last week and drove the car and had no issues. I started the car today and it is saying rear tire flat and maximum speed 55mph... I ran my welds all last year and had 0 issues. Last year when running them the display just had x's where it would normally show the tire pressure for rear.
How can I correct this issue? Anyone know why its different this time from last time? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!
You could start by pulling the codes and clearing all the codes related to the RFA. If you have PMS installed in the wheels then program them to the car. If no sensors then you should not get the flat tire message but I have seen more crazy issues with the C5 TPMS As a last resort you could find someone with a Tech II and have the TPMS option programmed out of the BCM. That can be done on 2001 and later C5's but not on the earlier year C5's.
Ok awesome! Mine is an 04 so I will definitely do that soon as i get back from my trip. I leave tomorrow for cruisin week and wanted to make sure it wasnt going go into limp mode and actually restrict me from going over 55mph. from what some people have told me it looks like its just telling me not to exceed 55 but wont actually restrict me or put me into limp mode.
The damn TPS are a pain in the *** on these cars! lol
