I removed mine, replaced with C6 Z06 shocks and has someone with a Tech II scanner delete them from my computer. There are plug in
simulators you can buy if you do not have access to a Tech II.

However forget buying the simulators, they are only 10ohm 10watt resistors you can get from Radio Shack. You will need 4 of them if you go that route
I did the same thing - initially went the "Radio Shack" resistor route for a summer or two until I got the option deleted by someone who had a Tech II scanner.
The simulators are fairly expensive from what I've seen - fortunately the Radio Shack resistors ran about $4.00 for two packs if I recall correctly...
