Your ECU has a throttle SAFETY CIRCUIT built into it. If you don't have the proper electronic throttle signals and proper matched feed back signals to the ECU, it will go into a LIMP HOME MODE and you will not be able to raise the engine RPM over what is programmed into the ECU by the factory to keep the vehicle safe.
You would have to find a Nissan Tuner that has the proper Nissan Tuning software and TUNE out all of the throttle by wire safety data. Most vehicles it can be tuned out and that's how you use a cable throttle.
My son has a 97 Jeep Wrangler with an 06 Corvette LS2 engine in it and he uses a cable throttle. The tuner just disabled all the throttle by wire proto call stuff in the PCM/ECU
