Default shocks

After having my C5 as long as I had my C4, and the only thing i cant stand is the ride. Indiana has some crappy roads and i enjoyed the C4 ride much more than this one with the 03Mag ride control.
Any suggestions on shocks or do I need more tire sidewall?
Thanks Dan

Get some standard 04 shocks, or aftermarket, and have the mag shock system tuned out?

it's just either too hard or I'm hitting my head on the top over the smallest pavement problems. Northern Indiana gets alot of cold freeze thaw cycling so the roads pretty much suck after one winter. Love it otherwise. No lights, fixed all codes and changed steering degree unit so that TC and all other systems working correctly.

Easy to do and doesn't cost anything. Here are a couple links about the stuffers:

A couple more questions about the car.

Does it have run flat tires and if so how old are they? In general run flat tires do not provide a foregiving ride and much less so if they are say 7 or more years old...

What profile tire are you running? 30 series?? 40 series???? or ????

Has the car been lowered??? Is so how much???

100% I lowered my car and it significantly changed the range of suspension travel and I experienced what you are dealing with. I had to raise the car up some to keep the suspension from bottoming out. Check out that SHOCK STUFFER and make sure that they are properly removed, You would be AMAZED at the number of corvettes that are still driving around with them installed.

Raised to normal heaight , sumitomo's f+r, regular stock sizes, not runflats. 35 series in back 40 in front. Have to look at the shocks, I do remember seeing something yellow sticking out from them. Cant believe they would not have taken them out, but I'll check.

The yellow strip you saw hanging out of your shock boot is attached to a shock stuffer. Once you remove them you can truly enjoy the ride.
