I replaced the rotors and brake pads on my 03' AE Coupe (Automatic) with Brake Motive drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads a few months ago. My OEM front pads used to dust my wheels pretty bad but the rears weren't so bad. Now that I have changed the rotors and pads, the front dusting has dramatically reduced, but the rear pads seem to dust way more than the fronts.
I don't have any issues with the brakes other than the rear dust (no grinding or noises) and it stops fine. I've painted the calipers since then and inspected the brakes/calipers/rotors on all 4 wheels 2x since and everything looks good.
The fact that the rears are dusting the wheels more than the fronts is concerning me. So I am summoning the CF membership for wisdom. Could it just be that the Brake Motive pads are junk and I need to pony up for some high quality pads, or could it be another issue?
You changed front and rear? Is it possible they sent you 2 different pad compounds for front and rear?
Well, I suppose it is possible - but the front and rear pads appeared to be the same material. Brake Motive did send the wrong hardware clips with the kit. I've had the brakes apart so many times trying to figure this out it's frustrating.
I've always been under the impression that the front brakes do most of the work and have never seen the rears dust more than the fronts. Is there anything I should be worried about?

Any helpful advice is appreciated.
If the brakes are working fine than no worries. Yes, it should be opposite but like I said they may have given you to different compounds. If it bothers you change pads I'm not saying buy $200 Carbotech pads but if you want I will be happy to sell them to you.
There are plenty of aftermarket pads to switch to. Do some research that sounds like the only way to solve the problem if it bothers you that much.

Cool, thanks for the advice Adam - much appreciated!

I agree. Pad material is likely different. I have Brake motive ceramic pads and the dusting is better on both front and rear compared to the previous pads.
