Default Fuel pressure

I have a 2002 coupe six speed and it decided not start one day for me. I checked the fuel pressure and had zero so I checked for power at the pump on the drivers side and had power so I replaced the drivers side fuel pump. After getting the pump in and everything back together still no fuel pressure , after trying to start it several times it find the started but run very rough and had very low fuel pressure (15 psi ) . I started it a couple of time with the same result and on about the third or forth try the fuel pressure came up to 55 psi and the car ran fine. The car ran fine for about 15 to 20 minutes and then lost fuel pressure again down to around 10 psi. The fuel filter is not that old but I think I will change it anyway but my main question is should I change the pump in the passenger side fuel tank also. I was under the impression that the passenger side pump was just to pump the gas to the drivers side tank. It's got me scratching my damn head and I am aggravated with the damn thing , I just want to get the damn thing running again so I can drive it but it's driving me crazy with the way it keeps loosing fuel pressure. I would appreciate any input and help I can get at this time .

You should be able to hear the pump prime even though in 02 they isolated it better, jack the driver rear up, stick your head towards the pump, and have someone turn the ignition but not on and listen for the buzzing it makes at the pump. have them cycle it a few times pausing for 5 seconds and each time listen for the prime. if its a hit or miss replace the pump. Especially if you replaced the fuel filter. Also might want to check the fuses.
