P0327 After LS6 PCV Conversion
I swapped over to the LS6 Valley Tray in my 2002 coupe, everything went smooth for the most part. But I broke the plastic cap on my front knock sensor, (car has 100k on it) So I replaced the front sensor with PN: S8696 (manufactured by BWD).
The code went away for about 30mi and came back, so I exchanged the knock sensor (from the same exact PN) and swapped out the wiring harness since the front portion seemed a little burnt. This fixed the problem for nearly 60 miles.
However, the light is back on. Not sure what else to try, im not receiving any codes except for "P0327 - Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)"
There's no oil/corrosion in the valley cover or on any sensors. They are both torqued down to 15 ftlbs, I even did the RTV ring around both sensors, leaving a space open at the rear sensor. From what I found trying to search the forums, it seems like this is usually caused by a damaged wire or oil/water entering the valley cover. Whenever it stops raining here, Ill check the resistance on both sensors. I just find it odd im only receiving the one code.
I also had my tuner remove AIR equipment and O2 Sensors since I have LT Headers and was tired of staring at the CEL all the time. My engine runs and sounds fine. Id take it back to have the tuner check it out, but hes in NC and im down in FL now

I AGREE 100% That KR Sensor wire harness gets a LOT of wear is easily damaged. Its a PAIN but, pull it out, disconnect it and OHM it out end to end, check the wire insulation and the female connection in the connector for damage (spread pins)
You can easily replace the damaged wires if you can find new pins.

I replaced this harness and this knock sensor yesterday with brand new parts. Still no luck

Which talks about the same issue I seem to be having, in the last post someone found a way to tune it out. Unfortunately my tuner is all the way in NC, so im still hoping to find an alternative fix
Im also reading reviews on Advanced Auto Parts saying the BWD works in 01 and older, and not the 02+. I may purchase ACDELCO 2133521 online and install it just for ***** and giggles if I cant find anything else

As far as I know. 01, 02 & 03 are exactly the same. Did you carefully look at the FEMALE PINS. I cant remember if the KR harness connector or the main harness connector has the female pins in it. If they are spread apart and make shitty contact with the MALE pins, it will never work.
I HIGHLY recommend NOT tuning out the KR sensors !!!!!!!!

Finally got around to replacing the front knock sensor for the 3rd time. I used ACDELCO 2133521 since word on the street is that its the only one that works. So far so good, ill continue to drive it when I can and update on any changes

So, after driving through all the drive cycles I could, and a combined 200+ miles of total driving. I think its safe to say that the problem was the BWD Knock Sensor.
So lesson learned is buy ACDELCO 2133521 not BWD S8696. There is a way to tune the ECM to read the voltage difference between the new part. But its so much easier to just install the ACDELCO part and be done with it. Hopefully this information helps someone avoid what I went through. On the bright side, I can now remove and reinstall the LS6 intake manifold blindfolded... so ive got that going for me

Bumping an old thread, but I did the conversion as well, and now I am getting:
10pcm PO133-slow response bank 1 sensor 1
PO153-slow response bank 2 sensor 1
PO327 knock sensor 1 circuit
P1153 Insufficent switching bank 2 sensor 1
I re-used my original knock sensors. Did I not tighten them down enough, bad wire, or ?

That wiring pig tail is known to get brittle and fail and the plastic connectors on the knock sensors can as well. The wire harness is not expensive.
Water can get under the intake and leak down onto the sensors. Its a known issue. A lot of mechanics recommend putting a circular bead of RTV around the the top of the recessed area to keep water out.
Removing and replacing the connectors may have exposed a preexisting coronation or dry rot problem.
