Default front speaker problems

I have a base 2000 with bose speakers. the passenger door speaker seems to be loose as I hear it rattling even when its not on. thanks in advance for the input!!

There are a number of things that can be loose in the door panel. You will have to get in there to do a visual inspection. Luckily, the panel isn't that hard to remove.


Now may be the time to decide if you want to upgrade the speakers.

From what I've heard (no pun intended!!), the little Bose tag, on the speaker grill, can get loose and rattle.

yep, that was the issue on my passenger side speaker.
i bought replacement speakers BEFORE i took the door panel off.
but now i have an extra pair in case.
