Hey guys, this is a strange one and I have no idea what this is. After I drive this car for about 100 miles which seems to be a magic number, and it sits for about 4 hours no more than that then I start it to move on, there is a strange noise that comes from what seems to be the tunnel area or outside air intake. I guess thats the best I can figure, it sounds like a throw out bearing but it isn't because when you rev the engine it does not change it will do this for about 20 minutes then quit again. If you start the car in a shorter time it does not do it and if you let it sit longer say over night it does not do it...
I guess the best way to explain the noise is an air noise that seems to be restricted. I have turned off all fans, ac, everything inside. the loudest area is when you listen near the outside air intake under the hood, or down in the floor up under the dash...but nothing is turned on...and most of all remember it does not do this when the engine if reved up stats the same.
Sorry for the long post but I am at a loss here...
Thanks guys
Bill

No exhaust leaks, and the serpintine belt is new was replaced about 1k miles ago. if were either of these things I would expect it to change when the engine is revd up, but no change in pitch or getting any louder...thanks for the suggestions....this is a tough one.
Happened again last night, sat for about 3 hours after a little drive when we started it back up that sound was there again stopped about 10 minutes down the road when it got warmed back up...funny this only happens after it has been warmed up and cooled down for about 3 hours....I sure hope someone sees this and has some ideas....
