Hello!
im new here at the forum and i have some questions!
I have problem with the pcm on a 1998 C5.
and unfortunately it seems like MY1998 have a special PCM wich is very tricky to find.
can anyone till me wich yearmodels have the same PCM?
and if I get my hands on one that fits my car, how to get it married to my car?
do I need tools like TECH2?
and the last question is if there is any good place to find used Corvette parts over there in the states?
I live in Sweden and here it seems very hard to find a PCM to a -98 C5 with auto gearbox.
Forum Vendor VetteNuts may be able to help you. I haven't dealt with him personally, but many forum members have purchased from him and have had good experiences. That PCM is somewhat rare and usually sells at a premium compared to some of the newer model years.

Might be able to find one used here on the forum, post a WTB ad. The 97 and 98's were the same. However some members may have upgraded PCM to a newer unit and have their old one available. I had to replace my 98's PCM due to salt corrosion damage. Bought one from a member, installed it, then had the local dealer reflash it with my car's VIN. The car it came out of was an automatic but my car is a manual, so it threw the check engine light and showed other automatic trans errors and locked out reverse until I got it reprogrammed. Thus, it should not matter if you get one from a manual or automatic, as long as you get it reprogrammed.
The other option, would be to upgrade the 98 PCM to a newer version as mentioned, which is more readily available as that PCM was used in many other vehicles, however that's a project all by itself...

I believe you'll have to have tech II. Since your in Sweden, I'm assuming you have a vette that was exported by gm. I don't think those had the capability to resync the pcm and bcm without the program. Good luck finding a replacement. I have a 97 pcm. The car was hydro-locked before I got it, so it may be shot? I pulled it before testing it.
