Just a small click? No loud grinding/plastic flexing sounds?
If so, try taking a screwdriver and a hammer to the small interior trim inside the door grab. Remove it, center up the driver and give it a whack. Have someone else on the other side holding the down window button as you do this.
Sounds insane but it's worked for many of us. Some report needing a regulator in the future, others work fine for years. A less intense version of this "repair" is closing the door hard while holding the down button.

A new regulator is only $50. How much is the peace of mind worth in wondering whether or not the window is gonna get stuck again—this time in the down position?

Mine made no crunching/scraping noises at all. Corvettes tend to sit a lot, windows don't get used. Motors get a bit seized/corroded, a tap is just a shot in the arm as far as I'm concerned. I DD my car and use my window everyday, going on 6 months now of smooth operation. If I start to hear anything unusual or a stuttering window, you can be sure I'll be ordering that regulator that night, and cease all use of that window.
