Torque Tube From Engine
I'm in the process of replacing a bad flex plate from my 2000 auto. I've got the rear cradle free of the frame, the collar that hold the front spline of the TT to the engine has been unbolted. My problem is I can only get about 1 inch of separation between the two. Any tricks or tips to get both pieces apart so I can get to the flex plate?

Tim, Is the transmission shift cable still attached? It could hold things up.
Are the wiring harnesses free from their clamps/brackets?
I've found the easiest way requires unbolting the trans from the TT and removing the trans/diff as one unit. Then removing the torque tube.
