Question about new radiator from rock auto.

Default Question about new radiator from rock auto.

Bought new radiator from rock auto manual trans. But why does it have these blue caps on on the side tank that the original radiator doesn't have do I have to plug these holes or is it the wrong radiator checked it again says it's the right one. Help please if somebody knows. Thanks.

The blue caps cover the connections for the Auto Trans cooling lines. Since you have a manual trans you won't be using those. I don't know if the manual trans radiator has these as well even though they will not be used. I would call RA for more info.

These are common on radiators that fit both auto and manual cars (not just Vettes). They will include fittings for trans coolers that the auto trans uses, but since they're on a separate cooling "circuit" it doesn't matter if they're hooked up or not.

yeah, what he said. They used to make dedicated radiators, now one part fits all, according to the shop that put mine in.
