Vin numbers
Hello
I will be picking up the C5 this weekend having put a deposit on it.
I discovered a site www.vindecoder.com which has me thinking if I made the right choice.
I put in the VIN number and it showed all the so called specs and history. Does any one know the reliability of this web site.

There it shows the mileage at 120,000 (I am assuming a calculated mileage) and then some history that shows different states that the vehicle was not in.
So I guess my question is, other than the CarFax is there any way to get a recall history and maintenance history.

Any vehicle report you run is not going to be 100% accurate, even CarFax and ones from a dealer. Not everything is required to be reported to those services and there are many instances where people do their own work or service and it's simply not accounted for. This is why it's exceptionally important that all paperwork is kept, even in the digital age.
You can contact a dealer's service department and they can provide all information regarding recall work that has been performed.
