Default Next possible mods?

What's up everyone, I recently picked up a 2000 c5 corvette (non zo6) and wanted some input. The car currently is full bolt on with no internal work. Has a Weiand polished intake manifold, 80mm BBK Polished Throttle body, Borla Complete Exhaust & LT headers, Vortex Power duct (carbon fiber) with custom air intake box, and MSD spark plugs. I was debating going Heads/Cam next but wanted some input since maybe there is a better route before that. I have read rear gears and new converter should be done before H/C. Car is also not my daily, I drive it maybe twice a week and on the weekend if I have a chance. I'm mainly looking to just get atleast 450whp and 400tq on N/A setup for street use and Off course keep it reliable. I do plan however on going with forced induction in the future (possibly procharger route) so wanted some opinions. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

If you are going FI in the future, think I would leave the motor alone for now and concentrate on beefing up the drive train.

I appreciate the input! Im very certain i wanna go forced induction so I think I'm gonna just hold back on the mods for a N/A setup and look into beefing up the drivetrain as you stated. Any recommendations on beefing up the drivetrain??

Agree with the others about holding up on the motor for now and focusing on your drive train. As far as your request for recommendations, I would suggest speaking with some Forum sponsors who work with transmissions and differentials. Tell them what you have planned for your car and how you're going to use it. Drive train requirements will vary greatly based upon your use. Forced induction with primarily street driving will not require much upgrading of the drive train. Drag racing every weekend with tires that really hook will definitely require beefing up the trans and differential. You might try vendors such as RPM, Tick Performance, LG Motorsports, and others.

Good luck and let us know what you end up with.

Since you mentioned "new converter", I assume you have an A4. The 4L60e that is used in our cars is not a very strong transmission when you start hammering it. After I did my first round of mods (which gave me 420rwhp) it wasn't long after that the A4 started slipping. A lot of people go with RPM and get their transmissions to resolve this issue. I did similar but I bought a kit designed to handle 750rwhp and had a local shop install the kit and do their modifications as well (if you've ever watched Street Outlaws, its the same shop that does the transmissons for Farmtruck). Haven't had any problems at all since.
That being said, that's the FIRST part of the drivetrain that will require your attention. Depending on how you drive, your future goals and mods, etc, will determine if other parts need some help. The rear differential might need to be replaced, possibly the axles, torque tube might need some help and so on. Also better shocks (coilovers maybe?) might be wanted or desired.
It seems that about 450-500rwhp is about max that the stock stuff can handle and I'd say the A4 is the weakest link in the bunch. Therefore, depending on where you want to end up will determine what needs to be done. As for me, I'm absolutely crazy and have a supercharged LS3 in my 98 that is approaching 700rwhp on 7.5lbs of boost. Virtually everything in my drivetrain has been changed out. Trans rated at 750rwhp. Rear end from ECS rated at 1000rwhp. I still have my original torque tube but it does have new guidos (look that one up). (It's the rubber bushings). I have dual adjustable coilovers. Lots of $$, lots of time but this is what I enjoy and wouldn't change a thing....
You just need to think about where you want to go with yours... Keep us posted.
