Need to have rotors turned, new pads, and brake fluid exchanged. I am providing stainless steel brake lines. I will also have the alignment done while I'm there. Total price ~ $530 - 640! Parts, labor, and fluid. :eek:
This seems really high, especially the labor charges. 2 hours @ front and reat at shop rates (52-62$/hr). Ceramic pads ~ 120$/set of 4.

Re: Does this price sound right? (Chandlerdah)
If I read your post right:
Brake Pads = $120
Alignment = $65 (guesstimate)
Rotors turned = 4 hrs labor @ $52/hr = $208 (not sure if you meant 2 hrs
for front and 2 hrs for rear or 2 hours total)
Exchange brake fluid and bleed system = $172 (based on price I was
charged @ $42/hr labor rate here)
Total: approximately $565.
If it was only 2 hrs on the rotors then subtract $104.
The other variable may be the brake fluid work. Could be less.

You are correct. I guess I was wondering about the 2 hours on the front and 2 hours on the rear. I've read a bunch of posts saying it takes about an hour to switch out the front pads. Just wondering if they are about 100$ high.
It takes no time to just swap the pads, to pull the rotors it takes a bit longer to remove the caliper bracket. If they are turning the rotors on the car it takes a little while to set up the machine. Either way its a little more involved then just swapping pads. While 2 hrs may seem like a lot its nothing if one of the rear rotors gets stuck on the parking brake shoe and that stupid spring pops out...
