Default C5 error code

I have had intermittent issues with the error messages..."Service Traction System....Service Active Handling....Service ABS." Those messages are back, so I think it's time to get to the bottom of this problem...

My only error code is: 28 TCS C1214 HC

What does that mean? Is it something a non-mechanically-inclined guy can remedy?

Thanks Chuck. I guess until I get it all figured out, it's ok to drive the car as long as I don't get crazy...right?

Well, the error code 28 TCS C 1214 HC went away after a couple of days...and before I had time to go through low-cost possibilities first.

I wonder if the poor roads in Tallahassee might be jarring loose connections. Also, it seems when I have been driving the car for a while on a hot day...and the engine is hot ( but normal) ...the issue goes away...this may not be the case all the time as I just realized that that was the case the last two times the error code went away. I admit that that might not have anything to do with it.

I had tried to reach the gentleman, Bill Curlee, I believe about pics on things to check out first, but was not able to get in touch with him....I imagine this forum has plenty of pics of such...but right now, it's a pleasure driving without that error code and the loss of those safety features....

This may help...also check your grounds on the frame-left and right.

Default Cleaning ground connectors

Chuck, so how do I clean the connectors, etc.? Baking soda and water and then maybe dry with a hair dryer? I don't what what dielectric grease is, but so it's ok to put it on the connections?

Also, do I need to disconnect the battery when checking/cleaning the ground points?

Thanks. Barry

its hard to ever argue with disconnecting the battery.....they make electrical contact cleaner and sell it at the auto parts stores.

first thing i would do is clean all grounds

The same thing is happening to me but I'm getting 1226 and I'm going to check the connector first . Nothing else seems to be wrong no other codes so I'm sure it's the connector , in my case fight front
