Wheel Hop

I have an A4 when I try to launch hard I sometimes get wheel hop. Has anyone else had the same problem if so what did you do about it.

what tire are you running? Is your traction control on?

Traction control was off. I am running 315 BFG DRs.

Wheel hop with BFGs is rare, and probably results from NOT getting them hot enough during your burn out.

Recognizing you have an A4...but on an M12 tranny I spin my BFGs in 2d gear and hold them at 6000-6500 rpm until they produce good smoke and begin to grab to grab. At that point, they are properly heated.

I have this same problem but I am running the stock tires. I have not found a fix for it yet. Next season I will change tires and see how that does. (Racing stops in Colorado in October :cry )

If I don't give it a high enough drop out of the hole (2200 and below) then mine will hop. Otherwise it just sinks it's butt, the tires spin, and I'm gone.
