A4 clunk at slow speeds
I have a 2001 woth A4 and the 3.42 / SY3500 mod. When I get in stop & go traffic on the freeway, crawling along at 5-8 mph, the trans clunks from 1st to 2nd. No other problems shifting any other time. Is this something to worry about? Is it just because I'm not getting enough fluid pressure in the trans creeping along that slow, or is this the beginning of a problem.

It sounds like it could possibly be a universal joint to which I would have checked out if I was you... Good luck!

I have no idea, but that is not normal. I would have the shop that did the installation check it out. I am running the ST-3500 with 3.73's and have never heard anything like what you have described.
