Default automatic to manual

I have a manual trans body i'm putting a automatic trans in. used all original harness except the dash interior harness. Is there a way to wire the auto shifter into the harness or do I have to change the dash harness.

can't answer your question BUT I have the complete interior harness from my 99 6 spd....have a guy who wants the harness for the CD player taken out of it so if I am going to start taking it apart let me know which harness you need or I will sell you the whole thing minus the CD changer harness for $250 shipped and you can salvage what you need....just let me know if you need to go that route

I did an auto swap on mine. There is a 29 page thread on the forced induction page that helps tremendously.

As far as the wiring from the PCM to inside the cab, start with my post (#557) here:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...thread-28.html

You really dont have to wire anything into the shifter. I attempted to wire in the shift lock feature that ties into the brake pedal switches (have to add a 3rd plug) but never got it working correctly. So I just have the dash lights wired to the shifter for shifter lights.

The only other thing you have to defeat is the clutch safety switch.

And of course, you need an auto tune if you dont have that covered.

Yes, you will need to have the PCM reprogrammed or the trans will not shift correctly.

Good luck... GUSTO
