Default Btr stage 4 cam only question

Hi everyone I have a 98 c5 with longtubes, intake and exhaust. I recently bought a nitrous outlet plate kit with all the safety stuff. I'm leaving oking into doing a cam only setup with a 100 shot in hopes of getting into a 10sec pass. This is not my dd. It's an auto with stock 3.15 gears. I will be getting a stall also. My question is how will the btr stage 4 cam work with a 100 wet shot? I have the factory 806 perimeter bolt heads, will the cam pose any piston to valve clearance issues?

10sec pass........

Brother,,,,,,, You have a LOT of drivetrain and suspension work to do before your car will be at the 10sec pass mark.

Your OEM STOCK Transmission will NOT like the new Tq & HP.

High STALL Torque Converter: At a minimum you will need an aftermarket trans oil cooler to keep it cool

Your stock OEM 10MM TT Bushings are most likely already on their last legs (Rotten and Cracked) They will fail straight off..

Your TRACTION will be SEVERLY TAXED (SAFETY FUSE). When you step up to better tires and traction,, THINGS WILL BREAK!

Wheel HOP and DRIVETRAIN SHAKE. Both are going to happen and are drivetrain KILLERS!

What Shocks are you running??

How Many MILES are currently on the car?? Your transmission mount and the engine mounts will need to be replaced with something better than worn out stock.

Who is tuning you engine with the new mods??

Bill

Thank you for your constructive reply. As far as trans cooler I have a b&m recently installed. For tires I have some mt et streets in 17". I did not know about the tt bushings so I'll look into replacing them. I'm runing c6 z06 shocks. Car has 130k miles. Fresh stock motor was put in 20k miles ago along with new hindson motor mounts. I want to reach the 10sec mark and I know it will take time. But that's the goal

Some other STUFF to consider.. The differential is a weak link as the output shafts are easily broken.

Check your diff limited clutches and Belleview Springs. Jack up one rear wheel, E brake OFF, Trans in N. Opposite wheel on the ground.

Attempt to rotate the jacked wheel. There should be significant resistance to rotating that one wheel against the other.

The less resistance the more worn the clutches are. Both wheel should be approx. same resistance
