I am looking for a performance shop here in TX to work on my Z06. What shops do you guys recommend??? I've been reading this board for a while and want to get some mods done - heads/cam package...
House of Speed in Houston.
We have run a H/C group purchase before for $4895/ Installed (Stage 3 Heads/Cam & Comp. Prog) with great response. This includes a 2yr/24,000 mile warranty. If you're intersted, I'll extend the same offer. This is the same set up as on the '01 Z06(in Sig) I had. Phone#is in my Sig. Ask for me(Jon Paul), or my partner Kyle.
Without a doubt since they are right in your backyard, check out Lou at LGM. Their G5 heads and cam put out great numbers, plus Lou will give you great customer service. They even went so far as to open their shop on a holiday just for one customer when he was in need. Talk to them on the phone before you go with anyone else.
Hmm...thanks guys! Seems like Speedworks is a common thread...
Vetter...I may take it to Houston..if I do decide to I will give you a call...nice to see you have a warranty on your package.
MTI...Hmm...dunno about that one now...my friend told me that their two main techs quit recently and they have a bunch of newbies there now...He didn't say what was going on but that kinda scares me - anytime two long time employees leave a place can't be a good sign...anyone know anything???
Thanks for the tips! I'd definitely like to get this car in the 400+ rwhp range! :)

See ya,
Tom
Someone has misled you if they said '2 main techs have left'- not true. His techs have been with him for years- no newbies here.
CXI is here in Houston. RSI just recently opened up abotu two weeks ago. They do high end stuff. Vipers, Ferrari's, the likes. Also vettes and seen a couple of Lightnings in there.
Speedworks: Great guys and great mechanics. They dont have much proprietary product, but they know whats out there and what works, and have a good variety of knowledge.
21st Century: New shop with the full backing and engineering knowledge of Lingenfelter, with Lingenfelter trained techs. Nice facility.
LG Motorsports: Lou has a long racing reputation and great knowledge base, has some proprietary products.
Speedtek: Seems to cater more the the F-body crowd, and takes the more aggressive, whatever it takes, approach to making big power. Seem very knowledgable, and have some proprietary products.
