Tac module
2004 corvette Base model tac damaged in accident. 12578953 cant locate a replacement or alternate part. any idea wher a i might find one?

Bill, Just for the hell of it I did a Google search with that part number last night....every place i looked listed it as "Out of production"
I guess we can add that to the ever increasing Non Repairable Out of Production List.

We just got in 2 running C5's that we can sell 1 of the TAC modules from it. Let me know if your still needing one. They do not last long.

This number changes from 12578953 to 19245405
And is on backorder right now, so no ETA from GM,

It's no longer produced as a new unit. Called a Chevy dealer and what they're doing now is sending in the damaged TAC to a repair center, and in about 3 weeks you get a refurbished unit for $275. If it comes back and they were unable to repair it (whatever the hell that means), then they won't charge you anything.
