Default Torque tube input shafts

Has anyone used a C6 torque tube input shaft in a C5 torque tube ? In order to take advantage of the larger ball bearing pilot ? Are the actual torque tube bearings the same size, ID and OD ? The bearing in the input. Running a ls3 in my C5 with the ls1/6 pilot needle bearing and ate up a perfectly good pilot bearing and input shaft with some sticky tires. My thinking is the C6 input shaft with the larger bearing may hold up better and might be better than resorting to a bushing with the C5 input. Anyone tried this ?

Ok, well. From researching, it looks like it will fit as expected. I do not have a c6 input on hand but a retailer of an aftermarket input list's them as fitting C5 and C6. I'll assume it needs to be a 02-04 torque tube for the 12mm bolts. The C6 is 12mm bolts and should fit using the ls2/7 bearing. Interesting. I'll post the answer if I end up getting my hands on a C6 input to try.
