Default AC settings

Whenever I turn back on the AC, after pressing OFF button to shut it down the previous session, the mode of air goes to feet and not the previous setting it was on, and which I always like - face. 😯.
Never had this happen in any car. Plus it happens after turning off engine completely and leaving car for a few good hours. Not while driving.
Any advice?

Have you noticed if the DIC display also changes after you restart the car? For example set it to be something other than mileage while the engine is running. Perhaps coolant temp or oil pressure. When you restart the car does it default back to display mileage?

If so then the cars battery is on the way out. When you crank the engine the battery voltage drops low enough to cause the memory setting to go back to default............
Correct. If I last used AC front mode, I'll return a day later and it's at feet area. Within a few hours usually remains at last input.
DIC is perfect. Always shows the last input. 🤔
