Yes, I'm using cats. I'm told that the cats off will produce around 10 more HP. The heads are stock ported heads. I don't have any specs on them. The cam was choosen for drivability and reliability. The dyno chart he gave me is in MPH and not RPM so I don't know what the peak RPM's were. The MPH seem to be between 130 and 140. It made 400.4 RWHP and 368.5 RWTQ before tunning. At the time of the dyno run the cats were off. When it was tuned with LS1 Edit the cats were on and it made 408 RWHP, I don't know what the torque # is because he didn't give me a new dyno sheet. If the HP #'s without cats is true I gained 18 HP with the LS1 Edit.
408 through cats sounds good to me man. If you want more you'll need better heads and a bigger cam. Right now I think you are just about maxxed out for the parts you have.
FYI, everybody uses "stock ported heads"...there are no aftermarket heads for LS1's.
Be happy with what you have or put a more agressive cam in and go from there.
The cam was recommended by the installer. He said it was the biggest cam he could install, and still pass emissions.
