I am a new C 5 owner 2004. I am having a battery problem, it will fully discharge overnight... When I bought the car the dealer had to replace the motor on the passenger seat because it wasn't working .At the same time I had them install a new alarm, back up camera and radio. I had the Alarm shop come to my home because the car alarm siren started sounding off for no reason and I was unable to shut the alarm off or start the car. When they came out they said this happened because the battery in the corvette wasn't strong enough. So I replaced it with a new Interstate 86 series lead battery. It discharged again this this morning. I am also having a problem with the lights on the rearview mirror not shutting off. Could the mirror be shorting out and cause my battery to discharge completely overnight? For some reason I can't get the mirror light to shut off until I shut the car down. Does anyone else have this kind of problem? I would appreciate any feed back. Thanks

Not alot of help here but you could unplug the mirror until you find out where the current draw is coming from. I would start with the last things done. Try unplugging the seat see if it still happens, if so then unplug the alarm ect.
Obviously, you're aware that something is draining your battery so you'll need to do some detective work to resolve it. I suggest your read this link, follow the instructions there, then repair what is causing your issue. Aftermarket radios and seat modules are well known for causing battery drain issues so those two are where I'd start. Here's the link - read it and get to know your C5! https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1567522286

Is your alarm wired in to the courtesy lights? The factory keyless remote will turn on the exterior and interior lights when you unlock the car. If the aftermarket system you installed does the same, it may be keeping your interior lights on.
With the car fully shut off, grab your multimeter and check every fuse for current. When you find one that is live, you've found where your power is being consumed. Diagnose the problem in that circuit and you are back in business.

From: Arlington Va Current ride 04 vert, previous vettes: 69 vert, 77 resto mod
i recently found out the map lights on the rear view mirror are controlled by fuse 2 in the foot well fuse panel box. if the lights will not turn off you could pull that fuse as a temp stop gap measure.
the low level light in the middle of the rear view mirror is always on if the car is running.
the BCM should turn off the rear view mirror map lights after 15 minutes of inactivity
after market security systems are notorious for causing electrical gremlins

Regarding the mirror lights, are you talking about the map lights or the dim yellow one. If you are talking about the map lights have you tried turning the **** on the dash, left of the steering wheel, that adjusts the brightness of the dash lights? If it is turned all the way to full bright and a little further, the map lights turn on. Might be that simple.

LOL!! That was my immediate same thought. The DIMMER SWITCH is turned all the way to the right CW! Press the button to pop it out and see where the dimmer is set to.
Yep,, That will drain a battery in no time flat!
Give that a look and see if that is the case.
With all that EXTRA STUFF you added, something is NOT shutting down when the car is in SLEEP MODE or NOT allowing it to go into sleep mode. You need to do a current draw test to see what your SLEEP CURRENT DRAW is after the 12 min wait period. If its above 15-20 milliamps, you will have to figure out what is drawing the extra current or not allowing the car to go to sleep.
