Low coolant warning coming on
I have only had the vehicle for a short time but after l purchased the vehicle the Low Coolant Warning was coming on.The warning comes on about a minute or two after the ignition is turned on (regardless of whether the engine is running or not).The previous owner had replaced the coolant bottle with sensor in the past 6 months, so l don’t think this is the problem.I have removed the coolant bottle and the sensor from the bottle and all looks okay.I also checked to see if the float is moving up and down which it is.Checking for power at the connector, l have 9.8 volts at one of the wires.Are there any common faults or is the sensor the most likely cause? thanks

Have you performed a coolant burp during ownership? A tendency for air pockets to form is not uncommon which most often than not wreaks havoc on temperature readings, but could possibly make the sensor believe the coolant level is low should an air pocket form around the sensor.
In most cases the cross over tube under the intake is a good burping point. There are a few posts/guides here and on Google regarding burping the cross over tube to alleviate the cooling system of any air pockets.
