I have read and read awesome threads on this issue but cant figure it out.
2001 coupe Ls1. unmodified. Had problems with ignition switch last year cleaned the contacts car ran great. when i started having this new issue i put in a new ignition switch. Car ran great for one week, then the same cranks and cranks no start. I can hear the fuel pumps and checked fuel pressure. Unplugged throttle position sensor and plugged back in to check connection because it through a code for it. Car ran for a day. Let it sit for three days. Try to start nothing but cranks. Installed new Throttle position sensor, car started right up ran great for the day. Let sit for a few days, nothing, cranks no start. Then it blew the crank shaft position sensor. Dropped the exhaust and starter and installed new crank position sensor. Cleaned the grounds checked the wires to the CPS. Car started right up ran great all day. Let sit for three days and you guessed it No start.
Im loosing my mind. Ive gone through the grounds and cleaned them.
At this time there are no codes. The car threw a code for throttle position sensor so I replaced it. Then crankshaft position sensor so I replaced that sensor. Each time after replacing sensors the car started right up. Then the car is not driven for a day or two and it won't start just cranks. Battery is always on a charger and new. No codes right now that's why I am lost.
so I hooked up the charged battery and cranked it again then checked for codes. here is what came up.
P0336c
28-TCS
U1016h
Then when I turned the key off it said charge system fault.
I cant believe it blew the P0336 again for the crank shaft sensor. There has to be something going on with the sensor wires. But I checked them and they looked good.
Thanks. I pulled the battery and tray when i replaced the sensor. The wires and harness looked good. Im thinking ok guessing it may be the wires down near the sensor i had to pull them apart they were stuck together from heat but looked intact.
