A little more explanation please. What did you mean by "all hell breaks loose"?
It was idling fine as soon as I put it in gear it started to sputter and miss and would not start and when I tried it to start it I had the pedal to the floor and it sputtered and died. No codes were showing. It’s like it’s miss firing.
Did you pull the codes afterwards? Still nothing showing? If not, then detective work is required. #1. When you turn the key on, do you hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds then turn off? You might have to remove the schrader valve on the fuel rail, attach a mechanical guage and see if you have fuel pressure. If you don't, then you track down that issue. Does the car crank ok but not start? #2. Have you checked your battery for correct voltage? #3. What is the status of the security light when you turn the car on? I can envision a variety of things causing this but each one would need to be tracked down, but most all of them throw some sort of code. A loose ground wire on a fuel pump could cause this issue as well. Have you experienced gas gauge problems in the past? Could you be out of fuel? Not trying to be a smart ***, just trying to explore the options.
No codes. Filled up couple days ago I think it was 3/4 full chevron 93 octane. I did not notice the security light or battery voltage I will run those down to rule out I will check grounds also. I did not on the fuel pump not something i would listen to to be honest. It was running fine for 10 min. Like I said soon as I put back into gear that’s when it started to miss fire and pump the pedal to keep it started. I will look into the suggestion you made
Thank you
