Default C1296 Code- Brake Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor Circuit

I keep getting the C1296 Code (28-TCS)- Brake Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor Circuit.

This is a 2002 Z06.

I read on another post that this could be corrected with GM Part# 10417400. This piece screws into the EBCM module area.

However I bought that 10417400 and it doesn't fit. The connector on it is slightly different then the one on my car.

Anyone know what the correct part# would be?

Did you find the correct part number? I also have a 2002 Z06 with the C1296 code and a Service Active Handling message.

Thanks,

Jim

That was the correct part however at some point in time GM changed the connector on the part. So I actually had to cut off that original connector on the car side, and purchase and attach the updated connector that fit the new pressure sensor.

I know this is a super old thread, but can you please tell me what part number you bought to get a plug for the updated pressure switch? I’m having the exact issue on my 2002. Bought new part, connector is different. Thanks!

c5kyle, have similar issue. It appears to be very difficult to locate GM part#

10417400 Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pressure Sensor

Did you solve your issue? Did you find a replacement part?
Thanks,
Kevin
